Dollarama recalls decorative plates over lead content
- February 8, 2010 4:21 PM
- By Charlene Sadler
Dollarama is voluntarily recalling about 310,000 decorative plates across Canada because of excessive lead content.
The plates, which have images of roosters, teddy bears and other pastoral scenes, are not meant to be used to hold food, but Health Canada was concerned because there was no permanent warning fixed to the bottom
The plates have been sold since 2005, and there have been no reports of adverse effects or injury.
For more information, go to Health's recall notice.
