Ikea recalls children's high chair over falling risk
- January 4, 2010 12:55 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Ikea Canada is voluntarily recalling the Leopard children's high chair due to a potential safety issue.
Snap locks that secure the seat to the frame can break, posing fall and choking hazards to children.
No incidents have been reported in Canada but Ikea is advising customers to stop using the chair immediately and take it to any Ikea store for a full refund. It retails for just under $80.
A total of 92 of the chairs have been sold in Canada since October, and 5,474 sold worldwide.
The chairs, made in Italy, have either red, black, white or transparent grey seats.
