Barbecue lighters recalled over buring risk
- January 4, 2010 12:28 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
More than 113,000 barbecue lighters have been recalled because the lighter can continue to burn after the trigger mechanism has been released.
As well, the child-resistant mechanism on these lighters may not function properly.
Neither Health Canada, nor the importer, HRS-Global, has received any injury reports.
Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the recalled utility lighters and contact HRS-Global for more information at 1-888-576-6643 extension 210.
