Korean-made cookies recalled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has announced the recall of a number of Korean-made cookies and crackers, because they contain undeclared milk products.

The recall affects the following products:

  • Haitai Cookie (Ace), sold in 218-gram packs and identified by UPC number 8 801019 306938.
  • Lotte ZEC Original Cracker / Cookie (Zec), sold in 100-gram packs and identified by UPC number 8 801062 246991.

The snacks have been sold in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick, but may have been distributed nationally, the CFIA says. There have been no adverse reactions associated with the consumption of the products.

However, people with allergies to milk run the risk of suffering a life-threatening reaction if they consume the recalled products, the CFIA says.
