Health Canada is recalling 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross bicycles because the fork steerer tube can break, causing the rider to lose control and fall.
This recall involves all 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross Bicycles. The bicycles are available in semi-matte black colour and have aluminum frames with carbon fibre forks and aluminum steerer tubes.
Felt Bicycles, the U.S. importer, has received six reports of the bicycle forks breaking, including two reports of minor cuts and scrapes.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these bicycles.
About 15 of the recalled products were sold at independent bicycle dealers in Canada from July 2006 to August 2009.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact a local Felt authorized dealer to receive a free inspection and repair.
