Health Canada announced the recall of 15,460 toy Nickelodeon metal scooter units because they have small components that could break off after being dropped, posing a choking hazard to young children.
The affected product is a yellow and orange Take Along Nickelodeon Diego Wave Scooter Die Cast Metal Vehicle.
The toy was sold individually and is identified by item number LC28007 and one of the following UPC numbers: 9671428007, 9671428101 and 9671428000.
The Diego Die Cast Metal Vehicle was also sold with the Take Along Nickelodeon Rainforest Rescue Track Set, which has item number LC28503 and UPC 9671428503.
The affected units were sold at retail stores across Canada between May 2007 and July 2009.
After performing tests on the product, Health Canada has determined the components that could become dislodged from the toy after a fall could pose a choking hazard for children three years old and younger.
Parents are advised to take the toy away from children and dispose of it. Those affected by the recall will receive a replacement metal toy.
