Pure & Natural Daily Light conditioner recalled over bacteria

Health Canada is recalling Pure & Natural Daily Light conditioner for normal hair because it is contaminated with the bacteria Burkholderia cepacia.
This strain of bacteria can cause infections in healthy individuals and can pose serious health risks, such as pneumonia. in people who have compromised immune systems, chronic lung disease or cystic fibrosis.
The conditioner is in a white 360-millilitres bottle with green lettering. The recalled product can be identified by UPC code 061354073607.
Only products with lot codes 010708 or 042408, or products without any lot codes on the bottle, are included in this recall.
About 80 of the bottles were sold in Canada. They were sold in British Columbia and online at www.carinaorganics.com from January 2008 onwards, but may also have been sold in other provinces or territories.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and dispose of it in regular household garbage.
