Children’s hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings recalled by C-Mrk Inc. due to strangulation hazard
- July 9, 2009 3:35 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling boys' hooded sweatshirts distributed by C-Mrk Inc., of Vernon, Calif. The hooded sweatshirts have a drawstring through the hood which can pose a strangulation hazard to children.
The boys’ hooded sweatshirts have the brand name Ocean Current and RN#67225 number in the neck label. The garments were sold in the colour smoke and in sizes S-XL.
About 725 sweatshirts were sold at Macy’s department stores in Southern California from December 2008 through April 2009 for about $35 US.
Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard, or return the garment to either the place of purchase or to C-Mrk for a full refund.
