Voltage meters recalled due to erroneous readings
- June 2, 2009 4:29 PM
- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada has recalled a series of clamp meters by Washington-based Fluke Corp.
Model numbers 333 through 337 may indicate a low or no voltage reading on a circuit energized with a hazardous voltage, creating a hazardous situation if the user contacts live voltage based on an erroneous instrument reading.
Approximately 4,087 of the devices were sold in Canada between January and June 2008.
Consumers are advised to stop using the devices and contact Fluke Corp. at 1-800-363-5853 for a free replacement.
