The CFIA warns about biscuits recalled because of undisclosed allergens

The Canadian Food and Inspection Agency is warning consumers allergic to eggs, milk or hazelnuts to avoid a series of cookies and biscuits produced under the Lotte or Crown brand names.

The agency said the cookies could contain eggs, milk or hazelnuts although they are not disclosed on the label.

The CFIA has not received any reports associated with the products but said they were present in sufficient quantities to cause serious illnesses.

Included in the voluntary recall by the importer are:

Lotte aeration chocolate biscuits,
Crown 61-cream biscuits,
Crown creamy butter biscuits,
Crown Vic Pie (strawberry),
Crown strawberry Sando biscuits (323 gram and 161 gram packages)

These products were sold in the three prairie provinces, British Columbia and Ontario but might have been sold in other areas of the country.
