- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada is recalling What's Inside soft toy boxes by Lakeshore Learning Enterprises because the head of the purple stuffed butterfly inside the box can separate and pose a choking hazard.
The recalled toy is identified by item number JJ909 and the UPC code 0633682079844. The recalled toys were sold from September 2008 to February 2009. Approximately 141 of the recalled toys were sold in Canada at schools and daycares, through the Wintergreen catalogue, and online at www.wintergreen.ca.
The company has received three reports of the head of the butterfly detaching from the body, with no reported injuries.
Customers who own the item are instructed to contact Wintergreen Learning Materials to receive a free replacement butterfly.
