Health Canada warns about coat-choking threat to children
- May 1, 2009 9:12 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada is warning consumers about a series of BabyGap coats that pose a choking hazard to small children.
The garments - Rose Toggle Hoodie, Pink Duffle Coat, Blue Plaid Toggle Coat and Mojave Toggle Coat – have toggles that may detach and could be swallowed by infants and small children.
Approximately, 3,900 coats were sold in Canada and 19,200 in the United States at GapKids, babyGap and Gap stores between October 2009 and April 2009.
Authorities have not reported any injuries related to these products.
Consumers should take the recalled coats to the Gap stores for a full refund.
