Health Canada recalls mood rings
- May 25, 2009 4:18 PM
- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada has announced the recall of more than 3,700 Bague Cameleon brand mood rings.
Health Canada has determined the rings contain more lead than is legally allowed. Lead can be toxic if ingested, particularly among young children.
The affected product has hearts on it and changes colours. It can be identified by the UPC code number 062823073227 and item number 07322.
Around 3,774 of the recalled products were sold in Canada between January 2007 and September 2008.
Consumers are advised to immediately dispose of the rings.
