Health Canada has announced the recall of a number of Cannondale brand bicycles.
The 2008 model bicycles have a faulty suspension fork, which can lose alignment with the handlebars, causing the bicycle to turn unexpectedly and posing an injury hazard.
The following models, manufactured in 2008, are affected:
- Adventure 2.
- Adventure 3.
- Adventure 2 Feminine.
- Adventure 3 Feminine.
2008 Adventure 2 and 3 bicycles equipped with the Rock Shox I-ride fork are not included in this recall.
The 43 affected bicycles have been sold at Cannondale dealers across Canada between February and April 2009.
There have been no reports of injuries sustained through use of the bicycles. Consumers are advised to stop using the bicycles and contact an authorized dealer to arrange for a free repair.
Consumers can also contact Cannondale at 1-800-245-3872
