Girl’s hooded sweatshirts recalled by Ely and Walker due to strangulation hazard

Ely and Walker is recalling about 580 Cumberland Outfitters girls hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings due to the strangulation hazard posed by the drawstring. The sweatshirts were sold in four colours (melon, white, purple, and turquoise) and in sizes XS to L.

The RN number is 14119 and one of the following style numbers are printed on the care label of affected models: 561560EC, 561565CO, 561570RA and 561575TU.

They were sold at department and apparel retail stores across the U.S. from April 2007 through April 2009 for between $19 and $24.

Consumers should immediately remove the drawstrings from the sweatshirts to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can also return the garment to either the place of purchase or to Ely and Walker for a full refund.
