Women’s shoes may lose heel

Wal-Mart is recalling about 200,000 pairs of George brand women’s sling-back, pointed-toe shoes because the heels may come off, tripping the wearer, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says.
No injuries have been reported.
The shoes were sold in three colours: black, grey and purple, and in sizes 5 ½ to 11.
They were sold only at Wal-Mart stores from June 2008 through December 2008 for about $13 US.
Consumers should stop wearing the shoes and return them to the nearest Wal-Mart for a full refund.
Consumers can call Wal-Mart at (800) 925-6278 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday for more information.
