Quebec warns of wrong best before date for fish

Quebec’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) is warning consumers not to eat various types of ADAR fish because of an incorrect “best before” date.
The provincial ministry said people should avoid Atlantic smoked salmon, smoked steelhead, smoked salmon and sliced smoked salmon sold under the ADAR label and with a due date on or before April 24, 2009.
MAPAQ said people should either take the product back to the retailer or throw the fish away.
