Ross Stores Inc. of Pleasanton, Calif., has recalled about 730 folding wooden patio chairs because the side supports may splinter when weight is placed on them, posing a fall hazard to consumers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says.
Ross Stores has received one report of a consumer who suffered shoulder pain after her chair collapsed.
The chairs are made of eucalyptus. SKU 400037791757 and manufacturer style number KTOC-1638-ROS are printed on a tag attached to the chair.
Ross Stores sold the chairs in February for about $50 US.
Consumers should stop using the chairs and return them to a Ross Store for a refund.
Consumers can call Ross Stores at (877) 455-7677 any time.
