Stretchin' Squid yo-yo balls recalled

About 1,400 Stretchin' Squid Yo-Yo Balls sold in Michael's Stores have been recalled because that type of toy is banned in Canada, Health Canada says.

There are no reports of incidents, but yo-yo type balls are banned because they present a hidden risk of strangulation to children.

The recalled toy has a stretchable plastic cord with a finger loop at the end, and the ball-like end is covered with multicoloured stretchy plastic spaghetti fingers. It's labelled for ages five and up and is identified by UPC 085761083585.

Consumers should take the ball away from children and return it to a Michael's Arts and Crafts store for a full refund.
