Propane doesn’t smell strongly enough

Valero Marketing & Supply Co. of San Antonio has recalled about 919,000 barrels of propane because it might not contain enough odorant added to the gas to alert consumers to a leak.
No incidents have been reported.
The gas was sold in stores in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Mississippi and Tennessee from January 2008 through October 2008.
Consumers with Valero propane should contact suppliers to have their propane tested and to receive additional odorant as needed.
Consumers can call (866) 940-8235 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT, Monday through Friday for more information.
