LED lights recalled

Four Star Group USA Inc. has recalled about 13,000 LED string lights because the wiring can overheat, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

There have been two reports of the Fresh Décor 10 count LED star string lights smoking and/or melting. No injuries have been reported.

The lights are a string of 10 LED bulbs, each covered with a clear star shape. “Fresh Décor” is printed on the front of the product’s packaging; the UPC (#7989390761) is printed on the back, below the bar code.

Consumers should stop using the lights and return the product to any Safeway store for a full refund.

Consumers can call Safeway at (877) 723-3929 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, or contact the retailer who sold the lights.
