Health Canada is warning parents about a plush dog doll with an attached doghouse.
The plush dog is light and dark brown with hard plastic eyes and nose. The animal’s house is white with a red roof and a yellow carrying handle. The toy set is identified by item No. 6/1538 and UPC 887600653979.
Health Canada said the dog’s hard button eyes and nose can be easily pulled off and pose a choking hazard for children.
Approximately 75 of the Chinese-manufactured sets were imported by Oriental Trading Company and sold at various retail stores in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
The recalled plush dog and doghouse sets were sold from September 2008 to February 2009.
Health Canada is telling parents to take the set away from their children and dispose of the toy in the proper receptacle.
