Children’s flip-flops recalled over excessive levels of lead in paint

Health Canada is recalling children’s flip-flops over high levels of lead in the paint used to decorate the footwear.
The recall includes kids and babies Havaianas flip-flops with decorative paint. Flip-flops without decorative paint are not included in the recall.
About 1,530 pairs of the recalled flip-flops were sold in Canada.
They were made in Brazil and sold at a variety of retail outlets between December 2006 and March 2009 under a number of brand names including:
· Baby Estampas
· Baby Pets
· Kids Flores
Consumers should immediately take the recalled flip-flops away from children and return the product for a replacement pair.
