CFIA expands peanut recall
- March 19, 2009 2:35 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has added two Bartons Gold candy bars to its recall list because they might be contaminated with salmonella from peanuts.
The recall covers the Nut Job candy bar in 2.2 ounces (63 grams) and boxes of 12.
There have been no confirmed illnesses in Canada associated with peanut products, although nearly 700 people have become ill in the United States, where the outbreak started.
