Health Canada is recalling Cannondale Six and Six Carbon bicycles because missing spoke protector discs could allow the chain to jam the wheel, causing the rider to fall.
The recall covers 2009 model Cannondale road bicycles that have "Six" printed on the bicycle's top tube and "Cannondale" on the down tube.
Approximately 160 of the bikes were distributed to various bicycle and sporting goods stores in Canada from October 2008 to February 2009.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and visit the place of purchase to receive a free repair.
Neither Cannondale nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries due to the missing part.
For more information, contact Cannondale at 1-800-245-3872 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
