Warming gloves recalled

Health Canada has recalled about 600 Primovolta and Primavolta electric warming gloves because they could short circuit and burn the wearer.
Manufacturer Outdoor Research Inc. has received five reports of overheating, including one from a consumer who suffered burns to her hand. The Canadian retailers who sell the gloves, Mountain Equipment Co-op and Canadian Mountain Holiday, have received one report of injury that involved a burn but no medical attention was required.
The gloves are black and have a battery-powered heating element. The men’s version have the style number 77000 and come in sizes S, M, L, XL, and the women’s have the number 77010 and are sold in sizes S, M, L.
The product name is printed on the inside cuff of the left glove.
Outdoor Research is offering a full refund or credit.
Consumers can call the company at 1-888-467- 4327 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
