Health Canada warns about plush toy dog
- February 26, 2009 3:55 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada is warning parents to dispose of a Magenta Plush Dog doll. The product is manufactured in China for Ty Inc., of Westmount, Ill.
The Canadian agency said the hard plastic doll eyes can be easily detached and thus are a choking hazard. So far, Health Canada has not received any reports of injury.
About 846 of the dolls were sold in a number of variety stores in Canada in 2008.
For additional information, consumers may contact Ty Inc. at 1-800-876-8000.
