Health Canada warns about child's bracelet
- February 26, 2009 4:00 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada said parents should throw away multicoloured, dolphin motif mood bracelet sold by Toronto’s Butterfly Fashion Trading because of a possible health hazard.
The segmented piece of jewelry, manufactured in China, contains an excess amount of lead and could cause a toxic reaction to the wearer.
Approximately 48 units were distributed in Canada between January 2008 and January 2009.
Health Canada has not received any reports of injury from the bracelet.
