Choconutta spread with undisclosed milk caused allergic reaction
- February 27, 2009 3:21 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Choconutta chocolate hazelnut spread caused an allergic reaction in one person because it contains undisclosed milk, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says.
Arthur Roger & Assoc. Inc. are warning people allergic to milk proteins not to consume the spread because it contains milk not declared on the label.
The Choconutta spread is made in Belgium, and sold in 750-gram jars in Ontario and Quebec with the universal product code 0 55710 07112 3 and lot code L8289508.
For more information, consumers can call Luc Monette at the company at 450-963-5080.
