14 products added to peanut recall list

- By Peter Hadzipetros
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning consumers to avoid 14 products made in the United States because they may be contaminated with salmonella from peanuts from Peanut Corp. of America.
The products include energy nuggets, bridge mix and cookies that contain peanuts or peanut products which may have been sold across Canada.
The salmonella outbreak has sickened more than 600 Americans and is the suspected cause of at least nine deaths.
But there have been no confirmed illnesses in Canada associated with the consumption of the recalled products.
