- January 6, 2009 1:05 PM
- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada has issued a recall for Shrek 2 yo-yo balls because they pose a strangulation hazard.
The water-filled yo-yo balls are shaped like the cartoon character Shrek and are fitted with a flexible plastic cord. The products are packaged with the UPC number 794080126605.
No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.
Yo-yo balls have been banned in Canada since 2003.
Health Canada advises consumers to cut and dispose of the flexible cord.
The yo-yo balls were given out in prize boxes at Boston Pizza outlets in Manitoba from October 2008 to December 2008.
The products were made in China.
