Ring recalled due to lead concerns
- January 20, 2009 8:55 AM
- By Tara Kimura
An adjustable metal ring has been recalled due to concerns that it contains more lead than the allowable limit, Health Canada said in a consumer advisory on Monday.
The Simi ring is silver coloured metal and has multi-coloured stones attached to it. It bears a UPC #736788295511.
The ring has been recalled because it could be toxic if ingested by a child, the advisory said.
Approximately 192 rings were sold at Canadian discount stores from January 2005 to December 2008.
The rings were manufactured in China and imported by Lucky Imports & Wholesale of Toronto.
Consumers are being advised to take the rings away from children immediately and dispose of them.
