RCMP toys recalled for choking hazard
- January 5, 2009 3:26 PM
- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada has announced a recall of RCMP-themed toys, saying the products pose choking hazards to young children.
The recall affects toy raccoons, bears, moose and beavers dressed in RCMP-style jackets. Toys dressed in RCMP-style jackets on plush horses are also being recalled.
Health Canada warns rivets on the RCMP-style jackets and eyes on the horses can be pulled loose, creating a choking hazard to young children.
No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.
The toys, which were made in China, were sold from 2003 to 2008 in gift shops and souvenir stores across the country.
Consumers should take the toys away from children and contact the manufacturer for a replacement product.
