Lead levels prompts recall of toy cars

Paint containing excessive lead levels have prompted the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall toy car imported by a Los Angeles-based company.
The "high speed" pull-back toy cars where found to have surface paint that violated the U.S. federal lead paint standard, according to an advisory put out by the commission.
TDI International has agreed to voluntary recall the product, which was sold at retail stores in Texas in the summer of 2008.
The commission believes only about 150 of the cars, which were made in China, were ever sold.
