Jardine expands crib recall

- By Tara Kimura
Taiwan-based Jardine Cribs is expanding a recall of cribs, issued last June, to include more products, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The CPSC warns that slats on the cribs can break, creating an entrapment and safety danger to infants and toddlers.
The recall affects the following products:
- Dark Pine Olympia Lifetime Crib, Model #DA715BC, date code between 2/04 and 1/07.
- Antique Walnut Capri Single Crib, Model #0108L00, date code between 7/06 and 11/07.
- White Capri Lifetime Crib, Model #0308C00, date code between 12/05 and 11/07.
The CPSC has learned of 19 related incidents. No injuries have been reported.
About 56,000 cribs were sold in the United States from March 2004 through January 2009, priced from $220 to $330 US.
Consumers with the affected product should contact the company for a credit.
