Erwin, Poseidon beanies recalled in Canada
- December 8, 2008 3:34 PM
- By Tara Kimura
Health Canada on Monday announced a recall of Erwin and Poseidon beanies because parts on the hats may detach, presenting a choking danger to young children.
The recall affects 834 hats with the style number 08-0006 sold in Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories from August 2008 to November 2008.
One related incident has been reported to the company.
The hats were made in Nepal for Canmore-based Ambler Mountain Works Ltd.
Caregivers should take the hats away from children and return them to the company for a repair. Alternatively, consumers can cut off the eyeballs off the Erwin beanie or the octopus legs off the Poseidon hat to remove the safety hazard.
