BOOeauty Spiky Ball Yo-yo balls recalled for strangulation danger

Health Canada is warning consumers BOOeauty Spiky Ball Yo-yo balls are being recalled because they pose a strangulation danger to children.

Yo-yo balls have been banned in Canada because they pose a safety risk, the federal department warned Wednesday.

No associated incidents have been reported.

About 144 yo-yo balls were distributed in Canada from September 2008 to November 2008. The balls were made in China and imported by Toronto-based Incredible Novelties Inc.

Caregivers should throw the toy in the trash.
