Bicycle suspension forks recalled over possible breakage
- December 30, 2008 11:43 AM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada is recalling Durin Race 80/100 Bicycle Suspension Forks because they can break, causing the rider to crash.
The suspension fork is on the bicycle's front wheel. They are white or black. "Magura," and "MD100R" or "MD80R" are printed on the forks.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries, but advises consumers to stop using bicycles equipped with the recalled suspension forks.
Suspension forks should be returned to Magura USA where the affected fork will be fitted with a new lower-leg assembly, bushings, seals, lubrication oil, decals and a brake hose guide, at no charge.
About 54 of the forks were sold at Orange Sport Supply in British Columbia from August 2007 to November 2008.
