Arctic Cat snowmobiles recalled for fire hazard
- December 17, 2008 2:07 PM
- By Tara Kimura
About 10,000 Arctic Cat snowmobiles are being recalled from the marketplace because the fuel pump can leak, creating a fire hazard to consumers, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.
The company has learned of four related incidents. No injuries have been reported.
The recall affects the 2009 Mountain Cat and Crossfire snowmobiles with the VIN number range of 103896 through 118441.
The snowmobiles were sold in the U.S. from June 2008 through November 2008 for between $7,500 and $13,100 US.
The vehicles were made in the U.S.
Consumers should stop using the vehicles and contact the company for a repair.
