JCPenney recalls infant pants for choking hazard

Texas-based JCPenney is recalling about 24,000 pairs of Arizona denim pants for infants and newborns because they pose a choking hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday.

The CPSC warns metal snaps can detach. No associated incidents or injuries have been reported.

The recall affects pants, made in Bangladesh, sold in JCPenney stores and online from July to October 2008 for about $15 US.

Consumers should stop using the pants and return them to the retailer for a refund.
