Toy boats have excessive lead levels
- October 7, 2008 3:17 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
Health Canada is recalling the children's product Pop Pop Toy Boats because their paint contains excessive levels of lead.
No illnesses have been reported in relation to the use of these toy boats. An unknown number were sold in Canada between April 2007 and November 2007 via the internet.
The importer, Buzz's Boatyard, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, will not be offering a refund or an exchange for Canadian customers.
Health Canada recommends consumers throw the toys into regular household trash.
