LeapFrog recalls gaming system batteries, recharging station
- October 24, 2008 2:24 PM
- By Peter Hadzipetros
LeapFrog Enterprises is recalling about 35,500 rechargeable batteries and recharging stations because they may overheat, creating a fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The company has learned of 12 related incidents, including one minor burn, the CPSC said.
The recall affects recharging stations sold for the Didj Custom Gaming System with the item number 30676 sold in U.S. and Canadian stores and online from July 2008 through October 2008 for about $35 US.
The products were made in China.
Consumers should stop using the recharging station and the batteries and contact the company for a refund.
