Kids Feet brand girls' sandals recalled over choking hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling girls' sandals sold under the Kids Feet brand name because ornamental flowers on the sandals can detach, posing a choking hazard.

The recalled sandals are leather with attached leather flowers. The sandals are white or white with pink soles and were sold in girls' sizes five through 12.

About 11,000 of the sandals were sold at stores across the United States from February 2008 through June 2008 for about $25 US.

The importer, Rack Room Shoes Inc., of Charlotte. N.C., has received one report of a flower separating. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should take the recalled sandals away from children immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund or store credit.
