Baby pacifiers recalled over lead levels

Health Canada is recalling My Baby brand pacifiers that have been found to have lead levels in excess of the allowable limit.

All colours of the pacifiers have been recalled, which include twin packs with the item number OP-003 and silicone pacifiers with the item number OP-004.

About 10,000 of the pacifiers, which were manufactured in Thailand, were sold in Canada from April 2007 to October 2008. They were available at Everything For A Dollar Stores and were imported by Toronto-company Ontai Products.

Health Canada is advising that the pacifiers should be taken away from children immediately and disposed of.
