Asphalt crack-filler recalled over incorrect labelling

Health Canada is recalling an asphalt crack-filler that does not have the proper warnings on its labels.

ResistoSeal Crack Filler, manufactured by Soprema Inc., of Drummondville, Que., does not have the required symbols and warning required for potentially flammable, toxic and corrosive products, according to Health Canada.

Health Canada is warning that the improper labelling could result in misuse of the product or injury. But it adds there have been no reports about any incidents with the product.

The 310-millilitre cartridge container that has been recalled has the product code 20619. About 33,156 cartridges were sold in Canada between April 2007 and October 2007.

Health Canada is advising that consumer discontinue use of the product and return it to its place of purchase for refund or replacement.
