Ab Lounge recalled laceration hazard

About 255 Ab Lounge chairs sold in Canada are being recalled because they pose a laceration danger, Health Canada said Monday.

Health Canada warned the chairs may snap unexpectedly. The federal department and the Canadian importer JYSK Linen 'n Furniture have learned of one associated incident in which a consumer's finger tip was severed when the chair closed suddenly.

The recall affects chairs with the article No. 3003415; UPC No. 071174700003; item model No. 165 sold in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan from February 2008 to September 2008.

Consumers should stop using the chairs and return them to the retailer for a refund.
