Hooded sweatshirts, jackets recalled for strangulation danger

California-based Orioxi International Corp. is recalling about 43,000 children's hooded sweatshirts and jackets sold in the U.S. because the hoods are threaded with drawstrings, which could create a choking hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday the recall affects garments sold at Shirt Off My Back stores in Colorado, Wyoming and Michigan from September 2005 through May 2008 for between $20 and $30 US.
The clothes were made in China.
Consumers should remove the drawstrings and may return them to the retailer for a refund.
