Foreign health products may contain pharmaceuticals

Health Canada is advising consumers not to use foreign health products due to concerns about possible side effects from undeclared ingredients.

These products are not authorized for sale in Canada and have not been found in the Canadian marketplace. However, it is possible they could be purchased by Canadians travelling abroad or ordered via the internet.

Canadians who have these products are advised not to use them, and should consult with a health care professional if they have concerns about their health related to the use of these products.
The products include:


  • Dr. Life

  • Chong Cao Ju Wang

  • Hanguo shoushen yihao (meiti xing) English translation: Number One Korean Slimmer (Body Enhancer Brand)

  • Liquimax Complete Nutrition Multivitamin Formula

  • ARMA - Sin Gang San and New ARMA - Sin Gang San

  • Rose For Her

  • Lover Liquid Nutriment Herbal Supplement and Onyo

According to the Hong Kong Department of Health and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, several of the products contained undeclared pharmaceutical ingredients.

One of the products, Liquimax Complete Nutrition Multivitamin Formula, contained fish, tree nuts and wheat, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
