- By Peter Hadzipetros
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling about 1,600 Cooks Essentials Deep Fryers because they can overheat, posing a burn hazard.
The recalled fryers include QVC Cook Essentials 3 litre stainless steel deep fryers with three baskets. The fryers were sold as item No. K14942. Model No. F1053Q is printed on a sticker on the bottom of the fryers.
The fryers were sold across the United States through QVC’s televised shopping programs and its website from April 2008 through May 2008 for about $60 US, including shipping costs.
They were imported by Euro-Pro Operating LLC, of Newton, Mass.
