Toy pan recalled for choking hazard
Thursday, August 7, 2008 | 03:06 PM ET
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has recalled about 15,000 Fisher-Price Learning Pots & Pans toys because they may pose a choking hazard to young children.
Missing screws in the blue toy pan, part of a set of stackable pots and pans, mean the clear plastic cover can come loose and release small balls, which may be dangerous to young children.
Fisher-Price has received five reports of the covers detaching, but no injuries have been reported.
If the blue plan has six screws, it's OK, but if it's missing any, Fisher-Price will replace it.
The toys have light and sound features that operate on AA batteries, and the model number G6685 is on the bottom of the blue pan.
Discount, department and toy stores sold the sets from October 2007 to August 2008 for about $20 US.
For additional information, contact Fisher-Price at (888) 521-0820 any time.
